Clinicopathological analysis of 19 cases of angioma serpiginosum
Abstract:ObjectiveTo analyze the clinical and histopathological features of angioma serpiginosum.MethodsA retrospective case series analysis was conducted on 19 patients diagnosed in our department with angioma serpiginosum.ResultsAngioma serpiginosum always occurred in young patients under 20 years of age, presented as red macula in the limbs. The eruptions were characterized histopathologically by ectatic dilatation of capillaries and basement membrane thickening with no swelling, no inlfammatory cell inifltration. ConclusionThere are specific clinical manifestations of angioma serpiginosum, multiple the needle sized red macules are the main performance. Vasodilation, sometimes obviously endothelial proliferation can be seen. The diagnosis of angioma serpiginosum needs comprehensive analysis that combining the clinical and pathological ifndings.
