The effect of the NB-UVB on serum levels of IFN-inducible T cell alpha chemoattractant in psoriasis
Abstract:ObjectiveTo study the effect of the narrow-band ultraviolet B ( NB-UVB) on serum levels of IFN-inducible T cell alpha chemoattractant (I-TAC) in psoriasis.MethodsSandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect peripheral blood levels of serum I-TAC in psoriasis vulgaris before and after the treatment of NB-UVB and healthy controls.ResultsThe serum level of I-TAC was signiifcant higher in patients with psoriasis vulgaris than those in normal group (t=21.37,P<0.05). After the treatment of NB-UVB for 36 times, I-TAC level in psoriasis patients was signiifcantly decreased compared with before the treatment (t=18.23, P<0.05). PASI score of psoriasis patients, before and after the treatment, and serum I-TAC levels were positively correlated. ConclusionNB-UVB can reduce the serum level of I-TAC in patients with psoriasis vulgaris, and I-TAC may be involved in value-added pathogenesis of psoriasis.
