The efifcacy analysis of long-pulsed 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser for pyogenic granuloma in children
Abstract:ObjectiveTo observe the efifcacy of long-pulsed 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser therapy for pyogenic granuloma in children. MethodsNinety-nine children with solitary pyogenic granuloma were treated with long-pulsed 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser using 7-mm spot size, energy range from 100 to 140 J/cm2, with compound lidocaine ointment topic anesthesia. Retreatments were conducted every 4 weeks if necessary until the lesion cleared.ResultsThe cure rate after one treatment session was 76.7%, the total cure rate was 100%, few superifcial scar (2%) and pigment deposition (5%) occurred, depressed scar or depigmentation had not been observed. No relapse occurred during follow-up of 3 months.ConclusionTreating pyogenic granuloma in children with 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser is an effect and safe therapy.
