Clinicopathological analysis of 6 cases with palisaded encapsuled neuroma
Abstract:ObjectiveTo analyze the clinicopathological features of palisaded encapsuled neuroma (PEN).MethodsClinical and pathological data of 6 cases with PEN was tidied and analyzed.ResultsClinical manifestations of PEN is commonly to be isolated skin papule. Histopathology showed benign Schwann cell tumor clearly within the bounds of the dermis. Signiifcant ifssure between the tumor tissue is accompanied and there is no atypia in tumor cells. Immunohistochemical stain revealed the tumor cells to be positive for S-100, whereas the perineurial cells for EMA.ConclusionHistopathology and immunohistochemistry were conifrmed as the main basis for the diagnosis of the disease, because of no speciifc clinical features in PEN.
