Research progress of viral infection in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus

Abstract:Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a prototype of autoimmune disease. The pathogenesis of the disease is very complex, which is still unclear. Recent researches have shown that viral infection may be an important cause of the disease, which not only be involved in the development of SLE, but also have correlation with immunology and clinical manifestation of SLE. With the in-depth study on the correlation between virus infection and SLE, we may get some enlightenment for the treatment of SLE.
