Effects of photodynamic therapy on the expression of TLR7, TLR9, IFN-αand IRF-7 in cervical condyloma acuminata
Abstract:Objective To study the expression changes of TLR7, TLR9, IFN-αand IRF-7 in the lesions of cervical condyloma acuminata(CA) before and after photodynamic therapy. Methods The expression of TLR7, TLR9, IFN-αand IRF-7 in cervix CA lesions were detected by real-time lfuorescent quantitative PCR method and analyzed before and after photodynamic therapy. Results The expression of TLR7, TLR9, IFN-αand IRF-7 in the cervical lesions of 15 patients were detected before and after photodynamic therapy. For the untreated lesions, the expression level of IRF-7, TLR7, TLR9 and IFN-α was higher than the normal control group; however, after photodynamic therapy, the expression level of IRF-7, TLR7, TLR9 and IFN-αdecreased signiifcantly. Conclusion For the treatment of cervical condyloma acuminata, photodynamic therapy may cause the expression of immune receptors and cytokines decreased, such as TLR7, TLR9, IFN-αand IRF-7, it suggest that the mechanism of photodynamic therapy curing cervical condyloma acuminata may involve immune mechanism.
