1.25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 and skin diseases

Abstract:1.25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 is the active form of vitamin D, which is involved in body's calcium and phosphorus metabolism, immune response, stress, inlfammation and regulation of tumors. Numerous studies show that 1.25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 can interact with T lymphocytes, dendritic cells, macrophages and etc, through anti-photoaging, inhibiting of T cell proliferation and cytokines synthesis and secretion, it plays a role in inlfammatory skin diseases, autoimmune skin diseases and skin tumors. 1.25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 and its analogues would play an important role in the treatment of skin diseases.
