The relationship between Th17 cells related cytokines IL-17A, IL-17F, IL-21, IL-22 and psoriasis vulgaris
Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the relationship between Th17 cells related cytokines IL-17A, IL-17F, IL-21, IL-22 and psoriasis vulgaris. Methods Real-time RT-PCR was used to quantitatively detecte mRNA expressions of Th17-related cytokines IL-17A, IL-17F, IL-21 and IL-22 in PBMC of 30 patients and 20 normal humans, and in skin tissues of 12 cases of psoriasis vulgaris and 12 normal controls. Results The mRNA expressions of IL-17A, IL-17F, IL-21 and IL-22 were found signiifcantly higher in PBMC of patients compared with normal (P<0.05). Compared with normal controls, mRNA expressions of these four cytokines in psoriatic lesions increased (P<0.05). Conclusions The expression of Th17 related cytokines IL-17A, IL-17F, IL-21 and IL-22 mRNA increased signiifcantly in both PBMC and involved skin tissues of the psoriatic patients, which suggested that Th17 related cytokines might have some correlation with the pathogenesis of psoriasis vulgaris.
