The detection of IFN-γ and IL-17 level in patients with condyloma acuminatum
Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the levels of interleukin-17 (IL-17) and interferon-γ (IFN-γ) in CD4+T cells, lesional tissue and serum from patients with condyloma acuminatum(CA).MethodsQuantitative PCR and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) were used to detect the levels of IL-17, IFN-γ in CD4+T cells, lesional tissue and serum from 20 CA patients and compared with 20 normal subjects.ResultsThe levels of IL-17 in CD4+ T cells of CA patients were higher than the normal control group (P<0.01), IFN-γ levels were also higher than normal control group (P<0.01). This situation also occured in the lesions organization. The serum IFN-γ levels increased in CA patients (P<0.05), but for the IL-17 levels, the difference had no statistically signiifcant (P>0.05).ConclusionHuman papilloma virus (HPV) infection can cause dysfunction of cellular immunity of the patients, IFN-γ, IL-17 may play an important role in the CA immune pathogenesis.
