A case of nasal vestibule basal cell carcinoma repaired by modiifed bilobate f lap

Abstract:Objective To present the method of modiifed bilobate lfap used in reconstruction of the postoperative nasal vestibular skin defects. Methods We designed the suited local rhomboid lfap and nasolabial skin lfap, and the modiifed bilobate lfap were used to repair the nasal vestibular skin defects which were caused by removal of basaloma. Results The incisions were sutured with minimal tension. There were not dissymmetry deformity and retard deformity of nasal ala. Over a follow-up period of at least one months, the lfaps were cured with satisifed outline, the upper lip and nostril had normal-appearing. Conclusion This kind of improved bilobate lfap is novel and can be a useful alternative procedure to close the nasal vestibular skin defects. Its aesthetic outcome is good, and worth spreading in clinic.
