Study on the pregnancy outcomes of 53 cases of pregnant syphilis patients with different periods of primary treatment

Abstract:Objective To explore the pregnancy outcomes of pregnant syphilis patients treated in different pregnant weeks and provide a treatment referrence for pregnant syphilis patients. Methods 53 cases of pregnant patients with syphilis were divided into two groups according to the primary treatment time point:pregnant periods≥16 weeks and<16 weeks, the pregnancy outcomes and neonatal body build of two groups patients were traced and analyzed. Results 27 cases of which 28 cases pregnant syphilis patients maturely deliverd with enough month (96.4%) in the group<16 gestational weeks. But only 13 cases of 25 cases patients in the other group≥16 gestational weeks did it (52%). The differences between the two group's data were signiifcant (P<0.05). The neonatal apgar scoring showed the group<16 weeks averaged 8.75 scores, the other one≥16 weeks 6.96 scores (P<0.05). The neonatal weight:the average weights were 3.21 kilograms (<16 weeks) and 2.76 kilograms (≥16 weeks) respectively (P<0.05). Conclusion The pregnant syphilis patients were deifnitely diagnosed and received treatment before 16 gestational weeks, the fetals survival was safe relatively by regular anti-syphilis therapy, meaningwhile the pregnancy outcomes will burdened a very high risk factor after 16 weeks.
