An overview on the diagnosis of penicilliosis marneffei

Abstract：Penicilliosis marneffei is an endemic systemic mycoses caused by Penicillium marneffei. It is commonly seen in immune compromised patients especially the HIV infected patients. The number of the penicilliosis patients of the endemic areas in China is increasing since the beginning of the HIV pandemic. It is a serious disease with signiifcant mortality if not diagnosed early and treated appropriately.
