Three cases of cutaneous nontuberculous mycobacterial infections
Abstract:Objective To evaluate the value of T-SPOT.TB in the diagnosis of cutaneous nontuberculous mycobacteria infections. Methods Peripheral blood T-SPOT.TB were measured for the 3 patients probable swimming pool granuloma in before and after treatment. Results Early secreting antigen target 6(ESAT-6) was negative and culture ifltrate protein 10 (CFP-10) was positive for case 1. ESAT-6 and CFP-10 were all positive for case 2. ESAT-6 was positive and CFP-10 was negative for case 3. The 3 patients were cured by oral rifampicin, ethambutol and clarithromycin for months 4. ESAT-6 and CFP-10 changed all negative for case 1 and case 3. Conclusion T-SPOT.TB has an important reference for diagnosing suspected cutaneous nontuberculous mycobacteria infections quickly and accurately.
