Therapeutic effect of the qubai babuqi tablets combined with topical tacrolimus ointment in treating vitiligo

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the curative effect and security of qubai babuqi tablets combined with the tacrolimus ointment in treating vitiligo. Methods A total of 240 patients were randomly divided into three groups, including one treatment group and two controls. The treatment group was treated with qubai babuqi tablets combined with topical tacrolimus ointment 0.1%, and the two control groups were given qubai babuqi tablets and tacrolimus ointment 0.1% respectively. The observation continued for 6 months, and the curative effect and security were evaluated at month 3 and 6. Results Efifcacy of the treatment group evaluated at 3 and 6 month were signiifcantly better than that of the two control groups (P<0.05). The reactivity of vitiligo lesions located in face and trunk was superior to that in the extremities. No serious adverse events occured in all the three groups. Conclusion The combined application of qubai babuqi tablets and topical tacrolimus ointment is an effective and safe proposal for vitiligo.
