Abstract:To introduce the deifnition, classiifcation, pathogenesis and evaluation of self-perceived sensitive skin. In the discussion of the disease’s pathogenesis, besides the damaged skin barrier function which had been demonstrated in previous studies, the role of the increased neural sensitivity and genetic factors also can not be ignored. An emerging non-invasive instrument known as neurometer (CPT tester) may play an important role in the detection of neural sensitivity of the sensitive skin.
