Abstract:Objective To explore the expression of Caspase-3 and bcl-2 before and after calcipotriol treatment of psoriasis and their signiifcance. Methods Immunohistochemical method was adopted to detect the expression of Caspase-3 and bcl-2 in the lesional and non-lesional skin in 12 cases of psoriasis patients before and after the treatment of calcipotriol. Results The expression of bcl-2 in psoriatic keratinocytes signiifcantly increased after calcipotriol treatment (P<0.05), meanwhile the expression of Caspase-3 showed no signiifcant difference (P>0.05). Conclusion Promoting bcl-2 induced keratinocyte apoptosis may be one of the mechanisms of calcipotriol treating psoriasis.
