Malignant atrophic papulosis:a case report
Abstract:To report one case of malignant atrophic papulosis. A 58-years-old man presented a 5-year history of asymptomatic erythraeous papules over the trunk and limbs. Physical examination showed the lesions were pink dome-shaped papules, some of which presented with a peripheral telangiectatic rim and a small porcelain white central atrophic scar. Skin biopsies revealed the occlusion of blood vessels in the dermis and perivascular lymphohistiocytic inifltration. The diagnosis of malignant atrophic papulosis(MAP) was made based on the characteristic clinical presentation and histopathological ifndings. The disease is dififcult to deal with when systemic involvement developed and with a high mortality.
