Clinical observation of long-pulsed 755 nm alexandrite laser in the treatment of freckle

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical efifcacy of long-pulsed 755 nm alexandrite laser in the treatment of freckle. Methods We treated 119 patients with freckle by using long-pulsed 755 nm alexandrite laser. Cases were follow-up visited 4 weeks, 1 year and 2 years after every treatment. The efifcacy and side effects were observed. Results We got 95 excellence cases (79.8%) after 1 treatment and 117 excellence cases (98.3%) after 2 treatments. Side effects of all patients were light. No permanent pigment alteration, scar, skin texture change, infection and other serious side effects occurred. Conclusion Long-pulsed 755 nm alexandrite laser is an effective and safe method in the treatment of freckle.
