Abstract:Objective To investigate the efficacy of complement on the phagocytosis activity of RAW264.7 macrophage against Trichosporon asahii (T. asahii). Methods T. asahii was preincubated with 10%normal mouse serum for 30 min at 37℃. In blank control group, T. asahii was not preincubated with 10%normal mice serum. In heat inactivation control group, normal mouse serum was incubated in water bath at 56℃for 30 min before co-incubated with T. asahii. After incubated with RAW264.7 macrophage for 30 min, the numbers of T. asahii cells phagocytosed by RAW264.7 macrophage were counted under an inverted microscope, and the rate of phagocytosis was calculated. Comparisons of parameters between these groups were done by ANOVA analysis. Results There were signiifcant difference between experimental group and the two control groups (P<0.01). No signiifcant difference was found between the two control groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Complement were able to enhance the phagocytosis of RAW264.7 macrophage to T. asahii.
