Research progress on the application of injectable platelet-rich fibrin(i-PRF)in hair loss treatment

Abstract：Hair loss disorders such as androgenetic alopecia are prevalent problems worldwide,and their therapeutic strategies have long been a research hotspot.In recent years,regenerative therapies based on platelet concentrates,especially platelet-rich plasma(PRP),have shown great potential in hair loss treatment.As the third-generation platelet concentrate,injectable platelet-rich fibrin(i-PRF)has attracted widespread attention due to its simple preparation process,no need for additives(e.g.,anticoagulants),as well as its high con-centrations of leukocytes,cytokines,and optimized three-dimensional fibrin scaffold structure.As a safe and effective autologous biological therapy,i-PRF provides a novel treatment option for patients with hair loss and boasts broad application prospects.This review aims to summarize and analyze the current action mechanisms,clinical efficacy,and application protocols of i-PRF in hair loss treatment,so as to provide insights for formulating standardized clinical therapies in the future.
