Abstract:As the third most common facial cosmetic surgery globally, rhinoplasty faces a core contradiction hindering its ad-vancement:a high incidence of complications and medical disputes. This article aims to systematically analyze the multidimensional factors contributing to the high complication rates in recent years. These include the complex anatomy and physiology of the nose, inherent techni-cal challenges, and the lack of assessment for the subjectivity of aesthetic perception and patient psychology.Furthermore, the article re-views emerging cutting-edge technologies aimed at reducing complications, such as digital 3D surgical planning and the application of sur-gical robotics. Finally,it prospectively proposes that the future development of rhinoplasty must establish a new paradigm. This paradigm should be built on the foundation of standardized psychological assessment, driven by artificial intelligence(AI)and augmented reality(AR)technologies, and aimed at achieving highly efficient and precise surgical execution. This shift is essential to propel the field from a heavily experience-dependent"artisanal craft"towards a predictable and reproducible"precision medicine"paradigm.
