Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of combined osteotomy and bone grinding in treating maxillofacial bone fi-brous dysplasia. Methods From September 2007 to September 2024,17 patients with maxillofacial fibrous dysplasia were treated with a combination of osteotomy and bone grinding. Results The postoperative follow-up was 6 months to 2 years. All 17 cases of maxillofacial bone fibrous dysplasia in this group did not have serious postoperative complications, and the results were satisfactory.Three cases re-pro-liferated 6 months to 2 years after surgery. Conclusion Because it can remove the lesion more accurately, the combined operation method of osteotomy and bone grinding can significantly remove the lesion while protecting the nerve function to the greatest extent and reducing complications. It is an effective technique for dysplasia of maxillofacial bone fibers.
