Abstract:Digital fibroma, also known as joint callus, is a benign fibroma characterized by fibrous thickening of the skin on the extensor side of the joint. It was first proposed by Garrod in 1904. As a benign fibroma, digital fibroma is associated with several other fibrotic diseases, such as chromosomal abnormalities in Dupuytren's disease, Ledderhose syndrome, and Peyronie's disease [1]. Generally, it is asymptomatic, but patients may feel a sense of tightness in severe cases. In February 2024, the Department of Medical Cosmetology at The Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University treated one pediatric case of digital fibroma using CO2 laser therapy, which yielded good results. The case is reported here.
