Treatment strategy and clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of MRKH syndrome and vaginal atresia

Abstract：Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser(MRKH)syndrome and vaginal atresia are two important causes of primary amen-orrhea.MRKH syndrome is characterized by normal ovarian development,uterine and vaginal upper 2/3 hypoplasia,and the clinical mani-festation of congenital vaginal atresia is well-developed ovaries and uterus,but the vagina is completely atretic.Currently,there are many treatment options for these two diseases,but no unified treatment strategy has been formed.The purpose of this review is to summarize the pathogenesis,clinical manifestations and diagnosis of MRKH syndrome and congenital atresia,the influence on the mental health of pa-tients and the treatment plan,and discuss the surgical methods combined with the treatment experience of our department.
