Abstract:Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of 595 nm pulsed dye laser(PDL)combined with ultra-pulsed CO2 fractional laser(UFCL)in early post-burn scarring. Methods A total of 40 patients were selected from August 2022 to Januaryr 2025.Laser intervention treatment was started at 2 to 4 weeks of scar formation, fractional laser therapy was performed within 1 week after PDL treatment in the experimental group, and UFCL treatment was performed after 2 sessions of PDL treatment in the control group(20 cases in each group). Both groups were routinely treated with drugs and elastic bandage compression.PDL is treated every 4 weeks, and fractional laser is treated every 8 weeks. Before laser treatment and 6 months after scar formation, the scar score, patient satisfaction score, occurrence of complications and the number of round trips were counted.Results(1)The improvement of pain, itching, color, hardness, thickness, irregularity, vascularization, pigmentation, thickness, tension, softness and comprehensive score of patients and observers in the experimen-tal group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).(2)In terms of satisfaction, the improvement rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).(3)In terms of adverse reactions, there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion The short-term combination of 595 nm pulsed dye laser combined with ultra-pulsed carbon dioxide fractional laser shows a significant synergistic effect in the early intervention of post-burn scars, improving the appearance and function of patients, without increasing adverse reactions, and can safely and effectively improve scar hyperplasia, with high patient satisfaction.
