A case of application with vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)in treatment of severe auricular laceration

Abstract：In August 2021, the Department of Plastic Surgery at The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University treated a male patient, 28 years old, who suffered from a severe right ear lobe laceration due to a traffic accident. After timely debridement and suturing combined with vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) technology, the injured ear was successfully repaired with good appearance and patient satisfaction. The diagnostic and therapeutic process is reported as follows.
