Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of the modified lower blepharoplasty and midface lift with septal release and lateral canthal anchoring technique. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 51 patients treated for tear trough deformity with lower eyelid bags and midface laxity, using the modified lower blepharoplasty and midface lift with septal release and lateral canthal anchoring technique. These patients were treated from January 2020 to December 2024 at the Department of Craniofa-cial Plastic Surgery,Plastic Surgery Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.Data collected included surgical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and postoperative complications. Results The 51 patients follow-up periods of 6 months or longer.Postoperative assessments revealed significant reduction or complete disappearance of lower eyelid bags, elevation of the lid-cheek junction, smoothing of the tear trough depression, and restoration of a natural contour in the midface region.Patient satisfaction rate was 98.7%.No severe short-term or long-term complications were observed. Conclusion The modified lower blepharoplasty and midface lift with septal release and lateral canthal anchoring technique is safe and effective, with minimal trauma and rapid recovery, making it worthy of clinical promotion.
