Research advances in iatrogenic facial overfilled syndrome

Abstract：Facial overfilled syndrome(FOS)is a medical aesthetic complication caused by overuse or improper injection of facial fillers.The clinical manifestations of FOS are increased facial volume,unnatural appearance,and consequently functional limitation and even tissue damage.With the increase in the application of filler injections,the occurrence of FOS has gradually aroused concern and has become an important clinical problem affecting aesthetic results and patient psychology.This article explores the etiology of FOS,innova-tively proposes a three-dimensional classification system of FOS based on'clinical manifestation-anatomical localization-material type',and reviews the progress of the treatment of FOS,with a view to providing new ideas for the standardized diagnosis and treatment of FOS.
