Clinical study on the application of the double-layer method of superficial fascia behind the ear skin dilator implanted in auricle reconstruction

Abstract：Objective The comparative analysis method was used to verify the therapeutic effect of the double-layer method skin dilator implantation and single-layer method skin dilator implantation in auricle reconstruction.Methods Patients with microtia who met the inclusion criteria from January 2024 to September 2024 were retrospectively selected,including 63 patients in the experimental group and 74 patients in the control group.Patients in control group were implantated with skin expander by single-layer method.Patients in ex-perimental group was implantated with skin expander by double-layer method.A total of 137 patients were included in the study,of which 63 were in the experimental group and 74 were in the control group.There were no significant differences in gender,age,sites of disease and follow-up time between the two groups.The distance of dilator downward and postoperative complications were compared between the experimental group and the control group to evaluate the two skin expander implantation methods.Results The patients who underwent double-layer method skin dilator implantation,the mean downward distance of the posterior ear skin dilator was(1.55±0.31)cm.The mean downward distance of the skin dilator in patients treated with the single-layer method skin dilator implantation was(2.18±0.36)cm.The downward distance of the skin expander implanted by the double-layer method is less than that of the skin expander implanted by the single-layer method(P<0.05).In the comparison of postoperative complications,there were 4 cases of skin expander exposure behind the ear and 5 cases of hematoma in the observation group.In the control group,there were 6 cases of posterior ear skin expander exposure and 6 cases of hematoma.No significant difference was found in the statistical analysis of complications(P>0.05).Conclusion The treatment effect of double-layer method skin dilator implantation method was better than that of single-layer method skin dilator implantation.
