Research hotspots and trends of keloid:A bibliometric analysis and visualization from 2004 to 2023

Abstract：Objective To conduct a bibliometric analysis of keloids,and to identify the research hotspots and the developmental trends within this field through biclustering analysis.Methods A literature review on keloid-related research was conducted from 2004 to 2023.Relevant articles were obtained from the Web of Science(WOS).The data were analyzed and visualized using bibliometric software tools,with the trends,leading journals and key keloid researching countries identified.Results Totally 3566 papers were analyzed.The analysis indicates an upward trend in keloid-related research.Major research topics include genetics,metabolism,pathology,and keloid treatment,and research is trending toward non-invasive and targeted therapies.Conclusion The research on keloids has been continu-ously evolving,with diverse emerging research hotspots.As research progresses,the study of the pathological mechanisms,genetic back-ground,and treatment methods of keloids will remain the primary focus of this field.
