Abstract:Androgenetic alopecia(AGA)is a common type of alopecia globally. To identify relevant studies on biological therapies for AGA,a comprehensive search was conducted across multiple databases, including the Cochrane Library,Medline,PubMed,Wanfang,CNKI,EMBASE,and Scopus. Keywords such as"stem cells""hair regeneration""androgen-dependent alopecia""platelet-rich plasma""cell therapy"and"exosomes"were utilized to retrieve pertinent research. The review revealed that various cell-based therapies, such as mesenchymal stem cells,adipose-derived stem cells, extracellular matrix, and even hair follicle stem cells, can significantly enhance hair density and diameter in AGA patients.Similarly,non-cell-based approaches, including platelet-rich plasma, vesicles, exosomes, and stem cell-conditioned medium, have also demonstrated the ability to significantly improve hair density and diameter. These findings suggest that biological therapies hold considerable promise for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia.
