Augmentation rhinoplasty with injecting and shaping an L-shaped hyaluronic acid scaffold

Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical effect of injecting and molding an L-type hyaluronic acid scaffold for augmenta-tion rhinoplasty.Methods From April 2022 to May 2024,82 patients with saddle nose appearance were treated with injecting and shap-ing an L-shaped hyaluronic acid scaffold for augmentation rhinoplasty.Six months after the injection,the global aesthetic improvement scale(GAIS)was used to subjectively evaluate the satisfaction,and the changes of the nasofrontal angle and nasolabial angle before and af-ter the injection were statistically analyzed.Results A total of 82 patients were followed up from 6 to 13 months,and the satisfaction rates of GAIS scores were 97.56％and 95.12％for patients and non-injecting doctors 6 months after injection,respectively.There was a statisti-cally significant difference when comparing the nasofrontal angle and nasolabial angle of patients before injection and 6 months after injec-tion(P＜0.05).There were no complications except for subcutaneous bruising in 2 cases.Conclusion Augmentation rhinoplasty with in-jecting and shaping an L-shaped hyaluronic acid scaffold is easy to operate,and for patients with simple saddle nose,the effect is obvious,with high satisfaction and safety,which is worthy of clinical promotion and use.
