Advancements in the application of fillers for the treatment of atrophic acne scars

Abstract：Atrophic acne scars are tissue defects formed due to damage to the dermis and subcutaneous tissues as well as a de-crease in collagen during the healing process of acne.They severely affect the facial appearance and mental health of patients.Filler injec-tion therapy is widely used in the treatment of atrophic acne scars due to its minimal trauma and simple operation.Different types of fillers have different mechanisms of action and indications,and can be used alone or in combination with other treatment methods to improve the appearance of atrophic acne scars.This review summarizes the latest application progress of fillers in the treatment of atrophic acne scars,in order to provide reference for clinical treatment.
