Abstract：The injection filler technique is an essential treatment modality in aesthetic plastic surgery,characterized by being mini-mally invasive,safe,and effective.It is extensively applied for shaping and rejuvenating various areas of the face and body.There are nu-merous types of injectable fillers,among which Poly-L-lactic acid(PLLA)is a microsphere-based filler classified as a collagen stimulator.Its application methods and indications differ from those of hyaluronic acid fillers.PLLA is primarily used for treating skin aging,subcuta-neous fat irregularities,wrinkles,and stretch marks.However,knowledge and expertise in its use are not yet widely adopted by most physi-cians.This review aims to summarize the physicochemical and biological properties of PLLA fillers,their mechanisms of action,representa-tive formulations,usage guidelines,and indications.Additionally,it provides an overview of the clinical application methods,precautions,efficacy,and safety of PLLA in key areas such as the face,neck,chest,and buttocks,serving as a reference for clinicians.
