Abstract:Objective To explore the differential expression of POSTN and COL11A1 in pathological scars and their association with scar formation. Methods From February 2023 to February 2024,the Burn and Plastic Surgery Department of the Northern Theater Command General Hospital collected tissue specimens from 59 surgical patients and used immunohistochemistry staining technology com-bined with inForm® 2.4 Image analysis software was used to analyze the expression of POSTN and COL11A1 in normal skin, mature scars, hypertrophic scars(HS),and keloid(KL)tissues of patients of different ages and genders. Results In HS and KL,the expression of POSTN and COL11 A1 in the entire dermis was significantly higher than that in normal skin and mature scars(P<0.05).Especially in the KL organization, the expression of COL11A1 is significantly correlated with the formation of KL.Conclusion This study provides a method for distinguishing HS and KL,which can better distinguish scar types and select more targeted treatment methods to reduce adverse reactions caused by improper treatment measures. These findings provide a new perspective for understanding the molecular mechanisms of pathological scars and may contribute to the development of new diagnostic and treatment strategies.
