Clinical effects of autogenous granular fat transplantation to improve scar after skin graft

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical effects of autogenous granular fat transplantation to improve scar after skin graft.Methods A retrospective observational study was carried out.From January 2020 to June 2022,clinical data of 20 patients with deep in-juries requiring skin grafting admitted to Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery,General Hospital of Northern Theater Command.They were divided into observation group(10 patients)and control group(10 patients)according to different surgical methods.The observation group underwent subcutaneous fat transplantation 1 months after skin grafting,while the control group only underwent skin grafting and were followed up for 6 months.The patient and observer scar assessment scale was completed in the observation group before fat transplan-tation(that is,1 months after the first skin graft)and 6 months after surgery,and the control group at 1 months and 6 months after skin graft to evaluate the degree of scar improvement and record the incidence of postoperative adverse reactions.Results There were no obvious adverse reactions or complications in all patients.There was no significant difference in preoperative scar scores between the observation group and the control group.Six months after surgery,all the observer scar scores in the observation group decreased compared with the control group,and the total score decreased significantly between the two groups(P＜0.05).The difference of score in postoperative 6 months showed statistically significant changes in vascularization and total score(P＜0.01).In the scar score of patients,all scores of the observation group were also decreased compared with the control group,and the total score of the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).There were significant differences in pain,itch,color and total score between the two groups in 6 months after operation(P＜0.05).Conclusions Autologous granular fat transplantation can obviously improve the scar shape,texture and color of the grafts.It is convenient to operate,and the donor area is less damaged,which has a good application prospect.
