Abstract:The muscular structures surrounding the corners of the mouth are intricate and can lead to drooping due to congenital factors, aging,or other causes.Sagging at the corners of the mouth often conveys negative impressions such as sadness, anger, fatigue,or aging. To better address patients'aesthetic concerns and promote facial rejuvenation, mouth corner lifting techniques are increasingly uti-lized.These techniques can be performed through non-surgical approaches, such as injections of botulinum toxin type A or hyaluronic acid,or via surgical methods. While surgical procedures offer more pronounced and lasting results, they carry risks of complications, including hypertrophic scar formation and overcorrection. In contrast,injection-based techniques minimize the risk of scarring but typically achieve subtler effects with shorter durations. This article reviews the latest advancements in mouth corner lifting techniques, providing clinicians with insights to guide their practice.
