Research progress in nasal defect repair using nasolabial fold region flaps

Abstract：Nasal defect repair demands not only the restoration of nasal function but also the meticulous reconstruction of aesthetic structure.Currently,a variety of methods exist for nasal defect repair.Among them,nasolabial fold flaps have been extensively utilized in nasal defect repair due to their resemblance in color and texture to nasal skin,abundant blood supply,as well as the convenience in design and simplicity of operation.Three types of nasolabial fold flaps commonly employed for nasal defect repair are introduced to offer references for plastic surgeons undertaking nasal repair surgeries.
