Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Versajet in the treatment of axillary osmidrosis. Methods From March 2016 to September 2017,34 patients underwent the treatment of Versajet. The axillary hair area was marked, and an incision from 0.5 to 1.0 cm was made under local anesthesia. The Versajet was inserted into the incision to remove the subcutaneous fat and apocrine glands.Postoperative assessment and patient satisfaction were surveyed and analyzed through follow-up.Results During the follow-up from 6 to 18 months, there was no incidence of infection or hypertrophic scar nor any axillary osmidrosis recurrence. After treatment, both upper limbs moved freely and there was no discomfort in the axilla. All patients were satisfied with the outcomes. Conclusion The application of Versajet in the treatment of axillary osmidrosis is effective with slight pain, short recovery time, fewer complications and no obvious scar.It is a simple, minimally invasive, safe, and effective method and should be considered for promotion in clinic.
