Clinical application of autologous fat grafting in facial rejuvenation: a single arm meta-analysis

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the curative effect of autologous fat grafting in facial rejuvenation by meta-analysis.Methods Literature was collected about the application of autologous fat grafting in facial rejuvenation from Wanfang Science and Technology Periodical Full-text Database,VIP Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Full-text Database (VIP) and CNKI,PubMed,Cochrane Library and Embase.The content of the articles included randomized controlled trials,non-randomized controlled trials,case-control studies,cohort studies,case reports,and so on.The incidence of complications,satisfaction of patients,and success rate of single injection procedures were collected for meta-analysis.Results Twenty-three studies with 2852 patients were identified for meta-analysis.The incidence of postoperative complications was 0.02 (95％ CI:0.01,0.04).The satisfaction rate of patients was 0.95(95％ CI:0.91,0.97),and the success rate of single injection procedures was 0.79 (95％ CI:0.73,0.84).Conclusion The clinical application of autologous fat grafting in facial rejuvenation is effective and safe.This technology is worthy of clinical application.
