Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical efficacy and safety evaluation of electro-optical synergy technology (ELOS) coupled with ionization penetration technology versus ionization penetration technology alone for the treatment of sensitive facial skin. Methods From December 2016 to June 2017,thirty patients were selected for two treatments with combined ELOS and ionization penetration technologies as an experimental group,in which the patients were treated with a single treatment of ELOS at 3-week intervals 5 times, and with ionization penetration 15 times at one-week intervals. The clinical efficacy and safety for each group were evaluated at two and four weeks after treatment, respectively. The trans epidermal water loss (TEWL) was compared before and after the treatment. The clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were evaluated, and a subjective evaluation of the patients was made. Results The number of subjects with significant and noticeable improvement in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group.Additionally, the TEWL of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and no serious adverse reaction was observed in either group. Conclusion ELOS coupled with ionization penetration technology can be used to effectively treat sensitive facial skin.
