Abstract:Objective To explore the efficacy of the combined therapy of polydioxanone sutures, hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin A in facial rejuvenation. Methods The operative plan of embedding polydioxanone sutures was determined according to the patients' requests for lift areas.Hyaluronic acid was injected in the areas with volume deficits.Botulinum toxin A was injected where wrinkles occured. The three therapies above were used in combination for all patients. Results A total 239 patients were involved in this study. After three months' follow-up,all cases showed satisfactory results except 11 cases with slight facial asymmetry. Conclusion The combined therapies of polydioxanone sutures, hyaluronic acid, and botulinum toxin A showed a better result than the independent application of each individual therapy in facial rejuvenation. The combined therapy can also reduce the dosage of hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin A when they are used independently, and reduce the number of treatments for each therapy. This combined therapy is worth promoting in clinic.
