Efficacy of radio-frequency technology in the repair of lower eyelid ectropion after blepharoplasty

Abstract：Objective To explore the efficacy of radio-frequency (RF) technology in the correction of lower eyelid ectropion after blepharoplasty.Methods Nine cases with 11 affected eyes,including 7 cases of unilateral and 2 cases of bilateral lower eyelid ectropion after blepharoplasty underwent.Evaluation of efficacy was made postoperative and compared to the preoperative condition.Results All patients were cured and the efficacy rate was 100％.During the follow-up from 6 to 24 months,no recurrence occurred.Conclusion The repair of lower eyelid ectropion in Wang Wei grade 0 and Ⅰ caused by blepharoplasty with RF technology was painless,noninvasive,and fast.Results were satisfactory.This procedure should be considered for promotion in clinic.
