Efficacy of lauromacrogol injections in the treatment of intractable seroma after liposuction

Abstract：Objective To explore the efficacy of lauromacrogol injections in the treatment of intractable seroma after liposuction.Methods Ten cases of intractable seroma after liposuction were treated in our department.After the effusion had drained,1％ lauromacrogol was injected into the cavity.The lauromacrogol injection was kept in the cavity for 1 to 2 hours,and then drainage was main-tained.Elastic compression bandaging was applied locally.The drainage volume was observed,and patients were injected with lauromacrogol again one week later if the result was poor.Result Among all the patients,8 cases were cured after one-time injection,while 2 cases were cured after the second injection.Conclusion Treatment of intractable seroma with lauromacrogol injection was safe and effective.Patients felt satisfied with the result.It should be considered for popularization in clinic.
