Application of the modified circumareolar mastopexy technique in mastoptosis surgery

Abstract：Objective To explore the efficacy of the modified circumareolar mastopexy technique in mastoptosis surgery.Methods From 2006 to 2014,a total of 42 patients with mild or moderate mastoptosis underwent modified circumareolar mastopexy in our hospital.All patients were followed up for 6 to 12 months.Results The breast shape in all patients was improved.Two cases of mammary areola incision infection were cured after dressing change.No other severe complications occurred.The results were satisfactory.Conclusion The modified circumareolar mastopexy technique was simple,and the scar was hidden.This method was especially suitable for patients who were unwilling to accept scarring after mastoptosis surgery.
