Early repair of complex nasal trauma by nasal septal dissection under nasal endoscope

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical effect of early repair of complex nasal trauma by nasal septal dissection under nasal endoscope.Methods Fifty-three patients were diagnosed with nasal bone fracture with nasal septum deviation and underwent nasal bone reduction and nasal septum deviation treatment by nasal septal dissection under nasal endoscope.An effort was made to preserve bone and cartilage to maintain thc support structure of the nasal septum.Three months after the operation,the efiicacy was evaluated according to nasal appearance and ventilation function.Results Of the fifty-three cases,in the evaluation of nasal appearance,48 were markedly effective and 5 cases were effective.The average measure of nasal airway resistance was (0.548-± 0.134) kPa/L· s pre-operative and (0.156 ±-0.04,0) kPa/L·s post-operative.The difference was statistically significant (P＜0.01).Conclusion The nasal septal dissection under nasal endoscopewas effective and can correct the nasal septum for ventilation at the same time.All patients were satisfied with nasal appearance.This method should be promoted in clinic.
