Report of clinical use of a tool for inverted nipple lifting

Abstract：Objective Because of the operative method for congenital inverted nipples often brings some serious complications, we investigated the non-operative procedure for recontour of inverted nipple. Methods By use of certain its negative pressure, we designed a tool for inverted nipple lifting to suck out it to its normal position. It must be careful to make lifting procedure use of this tool and be done gradually to prevent ischemic necrosis of the nipple. The duration of the lifting procedure is about 30 days. For a nice result, it must be continued to apply it about 3 months. Results All 346 cases were followed up about 3～12 months, except 7 cases, others had good result(98%). Conclusion Clinical usage of the inverted nipple lifling fool has proved it to be a good non-operative method at present. But a long term follow-up is needed.
