Late stage restoration of traumatie deformities around the orbit
Abstract：Objective To introduce a method for late stage restoration of traumatic deformities around the orbit. Methods Since 1989, skin grafting, local skin flap transferring, canthoplasty, M. temporalis or temporal fascia flap tansferring, autograft and substitute filling have been used for latestage restoration of traumatic deformities around the orbit in 23 case. Results All the operations were successful and curative effect was satisfactory. Conclusion The restoration of both soft and stiff tissue and canthoplasty play an important role in late retoration of traumatic defomities around the orbita. Socket reconstruction should be used if necessary.
