Abstract:Objective The medical polyacylamide hydrogel (Amazingel) was be tested by cytotoxicity assay to confirm whether the material has potential harmful effects on human body. Methods Using NCTC 929 clone and agar diffusion method, the three products of different producing dates were evaluated by both methods of laying specimens directly and only laying its extraction. Results In the specimens directly laid groups, parts of cells discolored, other cells has slight color, no dissolved cells has been seen, the cellular reaction target was R=0.5/0, the extraction of material groups were similar to the extraction medium contrast groups, the cellular reaction target was R=0/0. Conclusion Amazingel has no cytotoxicity.
