Management of external ear in facelift
Abstract：Objective Attempting to make facelift result more satisfactory, to prevent external ear from deformities. Methods An attention was paid to the incision of ear rhytidectomy. The subcutaneous dissection were limited with extended SMAS dissection. SMAS suture fixation were done with maximum degree of tension and no tension in facial skin flaps. Results From 1995 to 1999, we performed 40 cases and obtained excellent cosmetic results without any complication. Conclusion Attention has been paid to the facelift and management of the external ear during rhytidectomy leading to an improved result.
